2 Day Trek with Homestay

We will start at 9:00 with a Tuk Tuk ride to a rice field 12 km. from Nong Khiaw.  From there we trek for 2 hours to a Khumu and Lao village of Na Luang.  During your trek, your guide explains the different ethnic tribes that live in this area.  Lunch will be served Lao style by your host.

After lunch, we continue our trek into the deep jungle.  The guide will lead you to a "secret" waterfall where you can refresh in the falling water.  During the trek you opportunities to take pictures of the beautiful valley below.

The 4-5 hours trek will lead to the riverside village of HouyHoi.  Here you can swim in the river or just stroll through the quaint village.  The children love having travelers in their village so don't be surprised if you're surrounded by 10 kids as you walk through the village.  Here we will have dinner and your homestay by a host family.

The second day of our 2 day starts at 9:30 after breakfast.  A boat will pick you up and take you to Mung Ngoi, where we will start our day of activities.  This leg has less trekking and is more activities based.

We start with Mung Ngoi Viewpoint and cave.  Although not the highest viewpoint in the area, it does offer a stunning view of the village and river.

Next up is Tad Mok Waterfall and Organic farm.  Tad Mok has water year round so it's never a bad time to visit.  Here you can take a dip in the pool and relax.  We will have a picnic lunch by the waterfall.

Last part of our trip is a kayak trip down the Nam Ou river to Nong Khiaw bridge.  Enjoy the Lao sunset and admire your surroundings as you slowly drift back to town.
