1 Day tour-Weaving village, Mung Ngoi, Tak Mok Waterfall
This is a great tour as you are able to see 3 villages on the same day. These villages are only accessible by boat. Each has it's own unique charm. Learn about the culture, customs, and traditions that make each unique.
We start our day at 8:30 AM with a boat up the beautiful Nam Ou river to the famous weaving village of Sopjaem. The limestone mountain provides a stunning back drop to this small village. Sopjaem is home to many weaving families, with looms in front of their home, here you will have an opportunity to purchase hand weaving wares directly from the families.
Our next stop is the quaint village of Muang Ngoi. Second to Nong Khiaw in popularity, Muang Ngoi is a popular side trip with travelers. Visitors to Muang Ngoi usually have to spend the night as there's only one boat leaving for Nong Khiaw per day. With this tour you can village Muang Ngoi without having to spend one day here.
Our next destination is Tad Mok waterfall. It is a one hour trek from the river to the waterfall. Tak Mok is the only waterfall where you can swim year round. Take a refreshing dip in the water and have a picnic lunch in the jungle.
On the way back to the boat we will stop at Yensabai organic where you can learn about this exciting project. This organic farm attracts many volunteers from abroad.
Picnic lunch and bottle water is included in the price. You will only need to bring trekking sandals, hat, swim suit, and mosquito repellent.
